AC-78, is a high temperature multipurpose conductive and electroplate-able nickel based polymer that has great adhesion to all substrates including aluminum, copper and titanium glass, most plastics, ceramics, fiberglass and rubber. Applications include high corrosion protection, bumping, screen printing, RFI shielding and EMC protection.
This polymer coating can withstand sustained temperatures up to 260°C (500°F), and can survive brief exposure to 454°C (850°F) without significant damage or severe loss of properties. Alchemetal graphite-based AC-300 coating is an ideal choice for protecting the electrodes and other components within a hydrogen fuel cell. Alchemetal H-20 is an aqueous conductive polymer that contains greatly reduced solvent levels. Product performance and characteristics are consistant with AC-78. Applications include high corrosion protection, bumping, screen printing, RFI shielding and EMC protection.
Laboratory tests conducted in 2006 at CEPM, CUNY comparing characteristics for AC-78 and Alchemetal H-20 showed no difference in conductivity and adhesion. Range of performance at both high and low temperature scales matched performance levels of AC-78.msds
